Glass skin is a term that came from Korean beauty, and it basically means skin so clear and hydrated that it almost looks like glass. Smooth, even, with that soft dewy shine. A lot of people try to get it with long skincare routines at home, but tan, dryness and a few dark spots usually keep getting in the way. DMC-Crystal Glaze® is a skin rejuvenation treatment in Delhi made by the in-house skin experts at Dadu Medical Centre for exactly this. It's done in several steps in one sitting, starting with cleansing and exfoliation and going on to hydration, serums, light therapy and a brightening mask. You walk out with skin that looks fresher, more even and dewy, and there's no downtime after it. Available at Dadu Medical Centre Vasant Vihar (South Delhi) & Rajouri Garden (West Delhi), under Dr. Nivedita Dadu.
People sometimes think glass skin means oily or shiny skin, but that's not it. It's skin that is well hydrated and has an even tone, so light falls on it nicely. The pores look smaller and there isn't much redness or patchiness on the face.
In day to day life a few things take this away. Dead skin and dirt sit in the pores, the sun leaves tan and spots, and when skin is dehydrated it looks flat even with makeup on. Redness and irritation make it look uneven too. DMC-Crystal Glaze® uses advanced technology and medical-grade skincare products to work on each of these, so your skin can get its natural glow back.

This treatment suits most people who feel their skin looks dull, tired or dry and want that clear, glass-skin look. It's also a good option if you have tan or sun damage, dark spots, uneven tone, clogged pores or a rough texture. People with redness or easily irritated skin can benefit as well.
Many patients book it before a wedding, party or any big event because there is no downtime. Others take it as regular skin maintenance with a bit of anti-ageing care added in.
Since the serums are chosen as per your skin, the dermatologist will check your skin type and concerns before starting. To know if it's right for you, consult the skin specialists in Delhi at Dadu Medical Centre.

One session takes about 45 minutes to an hour. It starts with cleansing to remove dirt and impurities from the face. After that comes exfoliation with microdermabrasion, where smooth crystals gently loosen dead skin cells and the debris stuck in clogged pores, and vacuum suction pulls it all out. The skin already feels smoother at this stage.
Next is the Oxyjet peel. An air compressor pushes tiny droplets of air and hydrating solution onto the skin as a strong jet. This opens up small channels in the skin so the nutrients can go deeper, and the skin gets cleansed and hydrated from inside. Then hydrating serums are applied. These help remove tan, even out the complexion and repair sun damage, and they can be customised with anti-ageing ingredients, antioxidants and vitamins depending on what your skin needs.
After the serums, a cooling gel is applied and you are given an eye shield for the light therapy. The light uses a wide range of wavelengths to target redness, rosacea, dark spots, pigmentation, tanning, sun spots, sun damage and spider veins. A glow mask goes on after this to brighten the skin and reduce melanin production. To finish, a light moisturiser and sunscreen are applied, which is an important step for keeping that glass-skin look.
Aftercare: Avoid night creams for about 2 days before and 2 days after the treatment. You can repeat it every 3 weeks to keep the results going.
